What is Pilates?
Pilates is a form of exercise that has evolved from the movement principles of Joseph Pilates. It incorporates a series of exercises that work together to create muscle balance and core strength as well as flexibility. While the main focus of Pilates is a physical workout, there is certainly a mind-body connection that helps to create a healthy balance within the body.
Is Pilates right for you?
Pilates is considered a low impact, safe workout that can be practiced on a floor mat or using equipment that is specially designed for the exercises. Pilates is good for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. Pilates can be injury preventative and rehabilitative as well as a great way to enhance your sporting performance.
